Thomas loved scrambling along the rock face yesterday near Pemberton. Papa was very proud of his son’s talents!

During our trip to Toronto last weekend, Thomas and I went to the BCE Atrium to do some ‘cool’ photography. Follow this link to see some of the highlights.

Thomas has new words to announce: shhhh, happy, juice and awoo (not sure why, but this is his word for yellow bunnies). His most used words currently are ma-mo (more), jamon (ham), shoe and buh (book).

Thomas found a train — number M525 for those who keep track of such things — to drive tonight. Great park, great train.

We went down to Ambleside Beach last night for some sand, waves, and low light. The pictures worked out nicely.

Kahlie had her followup ultrasound last night (sorry, no photo available) and the mass in her belly is marginally smaller than it was a month ago. The vet doubts strongly that it is cancer and we have decided to leave it alone for now. Kahlie is back with the pack and doing great!

Barbequing is so much fun in August because the fresh fish is really fresh. Last night we grilled a steelhead filet after 30 minutes in M. Weber’s simple salmon marinade. You’ve probably used this recipe before … but it is fast, easy, and d-licious. We couldn’t get Thomas to stop eating it!
The marinade recipe is on page 298 of the Red Weber Book.
Oh, sides included a salad and corn on the cob.

Last night we went to Murdo Frazer Park. Thomas had fun running around and playing with rocks and sticks.

Thomas went in for his 18 month-old boo-hooster shots today. Tad took him in and all reports are that Thomas was a brave little man.
