The mirror wallpaper has returned… Today we covered the fridge with stainless steel type wallpaper. It now sort of matches the rest of the appliances.

We had a fun morning poking around in the industrial lands of North Vancouver. First, we went for breakfast at the Marina Grill. The restaurant is located below the Second Narrows Bridge. There are great views of boats from the dining area.
Then, we drove eastward and found trains. We saw CN engines 7301 and 8780 pulling freight along the waterfront.
And, Thomas asked what I think is his first ‘why’ question. ‘Thomas, do you want to go see trains?’ ‘Why?’ Seems like a reasonable question … and I suspect it’s the start of Thomas’s inquisitive stage (and our inquisition).

Thomas and I trekked around Grouse Mountain this morning. I was prepared with a hat and mittens for Thomas. It was way too warm for that, as Thomas suggested just as his sunglasses appeared destined for the grizzly bears. We wandered a little and were pleased to see some ice on the skating rink.
Winter’s coming!

Rob and Vicky met us in Ottawa. We went for a walk to see the fall colours. Thomas stopped at every bench, sat down, and said “Now I take your picture”.

Thomas and Mariela met Abuelo and Abuela in Montreal. While Mariela attended conference sessions, Thomas went sightseeing in Montreal with Abuelo and Abuela. They went to parks, chased squirrels, and even saw penguins.
