Lots of Snow at Grouse

I took a few runs on Grouse Mountain this morning. The reports are accurate — the base is still more than 400cm. Granny and Gramps might well have enjoyed it too. The snow was firm, with a couple of inches of groomed granular snow mixed with a dusting of new snow. Fast but grippable.

The views were fine today, although a thin cloud swirled around the peak. It was just what I’d expect skiing in the Coast Mountains.

How great that you were able to ski on next year’s pass. Wish that we could have been with you too. Grouse is such a super place to ski, wonderful view, and so close to your home too. We hope to ski one more day at Caledon this week and then hang up the skis for this year. Will any of you go again?

We’ll see … we hope to get out again, but the rain’s gotta stop!
