Once upon a time I was at the airport. To go on the airplane to get all the way to Dallas. And I really like the airplane. And I like flying in the clouds. That was my favorite part. Then, I watched my show with my papa and mama. The end.

It’s pretty funny hearing Thomas imitating us. Here are a few gems from this week:
Thomas: Can you carry me?
Mama: Not right now.
Thomas: Oh, you can do it. I know you can.
Mama: Thomas, can you feed Kahlie?
Thomas: No, I only have one hand.
Mama: Thomas, can you sing Allie a song?
Thomas: Mama, I’ve told you several times now. We are not going to sing songs.

Thomas loves these:
Red River and Oatmeal Pancakes
1/2 cup boiling water
1/3 cup Red River Cereal
3/4 cup Quick Oats
1 1/3 cups skim milk
1 cup Aunt Jemima Buttermilk Pancake Mix*
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 eggs
1 tbsp canola oil
1. Combine boiling water and Red River Cereal. Let stand 30 minutes. (After 20 minutes, begin next step.)
2. In a separate bowl, combine oats and milk, let stand 10 minutes until milk is absorbed.
3. Combine cereal and oat mixtures.
4. Combine dry ingredients.
5. Add eggs and oil to cereal mixture. Mix well. Add to dry ingredients, mix until smooth.
6. Spoon batter by the ½ cupfuls only a lightly greased frying pan. Cook until bubbles break on the surface and underside is golden. Turn and cook until other side is golden.
* The pancake mix should be the kind where you need to add milk and eggs, not the kind that you just add water.
Makes about 12 pancakes.

Allie really enjoyed going to the soccer game too. She even picked up some kicking skills that are getting her closer to crawling.
More pictures of Allie can be found here.

Thomas started soccer today - Turf Tots on the artificial field at William Griffin. It includes lots of running, which is good for the health of all parents kids.
More pictures of Thomas playing soccer can be found here.
From Thomas: Once upon a time, I went to soccer. I had so much fun. And, I really like that. And I want to play with it and I just already went there already. Play there is so much fun and I really like it there and maybe next Friday I’ll go to soccer again. The end.

Once upon a time, I went to the mountain. And, it’s Thursday today. I want to go to the mountain, and I already went there already.
I was a powder monkey. I went down through the trees. I went down The Cut. I went through the secret passage to Paper Trail. I really like going to the mountain.
I really like going on the Blue Gondola today. The End
PPS (Papa Post Script): Grouse Mountain is closing on Sunday, despite an announced base depth this morning of 569cm. It’s a shame, of course. Thomas skied most of Paper Cut through the trees himself. He found skiing around the trees to be a real hoot. See all the pictures here.

Overheard on Grouse Mountain:
“Papa, I want you to my left ski on first.”
[Left ski? When did that happen?]
